Uchenna Betrand Igbokwe
Uchenna Betrand Igbokwe is a management-consulting professional with five years’ experience designing and implementing health-system strengthening programs in Nigeria. Uche is currently an associate principal at Solina Health, an indigenous Nigerian health-systems consulting firm, which focuses on deploying solutions that optimize health outcomes in low-resourced settings. He presently leads a donor-funded routine-immunization strengthening program that spans six Nigerian states, focusing on supporting state governments to effectively deliver lifesaving vaccines to children under the age of one. Uche also supports interventions that aim to improve the institutional capacity of government health agencies and set them up to sustainably deliver on their mandates. Uchenna Betrand Igbokwe believes this will help drive the larger public-sector reforms required to catalyze rapid economic development in Nigeria. Uche holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Upon completion of the Fellowship, he plans to return to his role supporting routine immunization work in Nigeria.
