Ogochukwu Charles Ikezemuoka

Ogochukwu Charles Ikezemuoka is the director of the Divine Wounds Of Jesus Christ Orphanage and Rehabilitation Home for At-Risk Children. In 2015, he started the Send a Child to School project, which built a school for the children in his orphanage. In 2017, he expanded the project, with the help of volunteers and donors, to include children living in the community who could not afford to go to school. Ogochukwu Charles Ikezemuoka cares for close to 500 children, 192 who live at the orphanage and 300 who attend the school. Five children from the orphanage have gone onto pursue higher education. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he aims to expand his project nationwide, providing basic education to children in Nigeria who cannot afford school fees.
