WESSEL VAN ZYL

Wessel qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 after serving articles with PWC. He left the auditing profession to work in the financial and taxation fields, later joining the construction industry in 1997. Wessel previously worked in the specialist fields of auditing, taxation, treasury and heading up the Corporate Office at the Aveng Group before he was appointed at Grinaker-LTA as Financial Director in 2009. Wessel joined Esor as CFO on 8 October 2012. Wessel was integral in the restructure of the Group following the sale of the Geotechnical business and was appointed as CEO effective 1 September 2014.  His experience in financial modelling, contract negotiations and managing complex businesses puts him in the ideal position to reposition the Esor Group. Wessel’ experience extends to PPP projects in the fields of roads, rail and buildings as well as merger and acquisition negotiations.
