Balekane’s biggest asset is her ability to play a wide range of music styles – from quiet dinner background music and light Jazz, to lively pop and even dance covers. Her classical training has allowed her to explore other music genres and perform them equally well after years of experience – ensuring a fantastic reception wherever she goes.

Balekane Moloisane is a professional violinist of no small statue based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She started playing the violin at the age of 9 and hasn’t looked back since. She progressed rapidly to play for National Youth Orchestra at age 13, and subsequently that year became leader of Johannesburg Youth Ensemble.

Balekane Moloisane was invited in Germany in the years 1998 and 1999 to play with the Landesjugend Orchestra -RheinlandPfalz during summer camps.Balekane attended at the National School of the Arts where her speciality was music. She currently plays with professional orchestras such as the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and the Johannesburg Music Initiative.
