Freddy Kgongwana
Dr Freddy Kgongwana matriculated in 1982 at WF Nkomo high in 1982. He obtained his MBCHB at Medunsa with a distinction in Psychiatry. He then added further qualifications to his MBCHB, namely: Monitoring and Evaluation, Advanced Health Management, Basic Life Support training, and MDR TB courses.
Freddy Kgongwanais currently the acting CEO at Dr. George Mukhari academic hospital. Before occupying this post in March 2015, Dr Kgongwana occupied the following positions:

- Senior Clinical Executive, George Mukhari hospital 2011-2013
At George Mukhari hospital, he has undertaken numerous innovative developments to raise the standard of the institution.completed several projects at Dr George Mukhari academic hospital ,South Africa, and also participated in the NHI pilot project.
