Tshepo P. Maaka

Dr Tshepo P. Maaka is a woman of faith and a follower of Christ. She is a mother to a beautiful Kabelo Maaka and has obtained both her medical undergraduate and postgraduate training in anaesthesiology, public health management and financial management from the University of Witwatersrand (Wits). She has been a medical practitioner registered with the Health Professions Council since 1994, practicing mainly anaesthesiology. She has until early this year been running an obstetrical anaesthetic practice at both the Sunninghill and Waterfall Hospitals in Gauteng South Africa.

Dr Tshepo P. Maaka is also a medical entrepreneur managing a few medical businesses concurrently. She is owner and CEO of a DR T Scrubs company (Pty), a medical apparel company selling high-end medical scrubs mainly. She is also the co-founder of a medical concierge and medical tourism company called HealingtonVIP, something she has been doing since 2004 and lastly, she has partnered with her daughter, an animator at Cabblow Studios (Pty) Ltd, to produce medical animation content to educate and train on health in order to promote compliance, and to better health outcomes. She has a passion for all things health and medical as that is where her skills set lie.
