The first single, If I Don’t Call, which was released in 2015, really set the benchmark for what fans can expect from this new release. This song captivated audiences to such a massive extent that it topped charts in Johannesburg at #3 on Jacaranda FM’s Kia Top 20 (94.2) and reached #1 on Smile FM’s Chart (90.4) in Cape Town as well as charted on various other radio stations around the country.

While the album does boast a bevy of tracks with Garth’s signature soulful sound, fans will also be pleasantly surprised with a few “dancier” tracks including a house remix of Garth’s previous hit, Try.

Garth Taylor already has a string of smash hits on radio, so one can only predict that loads more will follow from his latest album, Made. He burst onto the scene in 1998 when he topped the radio charts for five consecutive weeks with Why and this song is still regarded as a timeless classic. Other popular singles, such as Only With You, Tonight, Home Again, If I Gave You My Soul, Islands in the Stream (a duet with Melanie Lowe) and Try, followed.
This SAMA-nominated singer/songwriter’s exceptional talent has made him one of South Africa’s most prominent artists. He is a multi-talented, self-taught artist who writes all his own music and lyrics, as well as plays a selection of instruments, from keyboards, guitar and bass to drums and the saxophone. As if that isn’t impressive enough, Garth expands his creativity further into production, engineering and mixing.
With his flawless vocal delivery and power-house songs, Garth has a tremendous stage presence, giving audiences an unforgettable experience with every performance. His top-class live performances have earned him spots on many big stages around the globe. He has shared the stage with a number of premier international and local artists, including Simply Red, Shaggy, Jonathan Butler, Mandoza, and the late Brenda Fassie, TK and Lebo Mathosa.
Despite his immense success, Garth has remained humble at heart, and has used his celebrity status to raise much needed awareness and funds for foundations that support cancer research. As a victim of child abuse himself, Garth is also actively involved in charities for abused women and children.
