Jamali

Jamali

Jamali This could be attributed to the fact that it took them about 2 years to complete Yours Fatally, whereas it took just 2 weeks to finish their self-titled debut offering, as part of their Coca-Cola Popstars prize. From beginning to end, this album offers something for all music lovers, whether you are an R&B junkie or one of the Afro Pop revellers or just enjoy bopping your head to pure pop sounds.

The former Pop Stars trio is back with their banging sophomore, Yours Fatally. Jamali stay true to their original sound, however, adding more in terms of their identity and flair. Their melodies are infectious as expected, but this time done with more ease and comfort.

Says Jacqui: “It’s been the most incredible experience! Obviously Popstars was hard work and not knowing whether you were going to make it, made it that much more difficult. But now we are a group, working together with our producers to create an album for people to love and listen to, it becomes all that more real for all of us and I think you can feel that spirit in the music.”

Jamali have a stellar live performance and every sell out show is packed with flawless choreography and harmonic vocals that is sure to get everyone on their feet and dancing. Jamali, Popstars’s latest and freshest additions to the South Africa music scene, have wowed crowds around the country on their musical maiden voyage.

Jamali’s soul-touching ballad Love Me For Me was written by international songwriting talent Diane Warren, who is responsible for the likes of the Titanic hit My Heart Will Go On. Jamali’s album includes a saucy and vibey selection of unreleased material.

The group’s name suggests a strong bond, taken as it is from their first two letters of each of their names – and the trio that is Jamali is about to unleash a proudly South African R&B sound that will take them straight to the top of the charts.

At venues in Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Cape Town and Bloemfontein, and soon to hit Jozi, Jamali’s three soulful and sultry female vocal powerhouses have won the hearts and minds of screaming fans.
