‘Having performed at each other’s album launches we realized that we had something incredibly special to offer our clients’ says Carver. ‘This year we have decided to take our collaboration to a new level’ Both Classically-trained musicians, Louise and Carol have performed together at several festivals (Cultivaria Festival, Whale Festival and Kirstenbosch Winter Series), album launches (Fireflies In The Rain and Look To The Edge) and concert series (Kirstenbosch Summer Concert Series).

Louise Carver and Carol Thorns has achieved multiple Top 10 Airplay hits with her singles: ‘Home’, ‘Empty Fantasy’, ‘Impossible Love’, Didn’t Mean To Call’, ‘It Don’t Matter’, ‘Time Is A Healer’ (Justin Vee remix), ‘I’d Say Yes’ & ‘Warrior [feat. Zulu boy]’. She has been nominated for ten SAMA Awards (Best A/C English album for all 4 albums, Best Female artist [three years in a row], Record of the year for both ‘Didn’t mean to call’ and Warrior’) as well as best remix for ‘These Days.’ She received an award for ‘Most Stylish Entertainer’ at the 2008 SA Style Awards and is a Youth Ambassador for the Independent Electoral Committee.

South Africa’s leading electric cellist, Carol Thorns has been performing locally and internationally for over a decade. Armed with her striking red cello, she has won fans in India, Dubai and the UK where she was awarded a 4-star rating for her show ‘Red Cello Electrified’ at the Edinburgh Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world. Carol received a South African Music Award nomination for Best Instrumental Album 2010.
