Sivuyile Ngesi is a 25 year old actor born in the township of Gugulethu, Cape Town. Acting came early to Siv and at ten years old Siv toured Asia with Les Miserable in the role of Gavroshe.

‘In the last 3 years Siv has been very active in multiple areas of the performing arts. With his live performances Siv has taken hit one-man comedy show, Dekaf to the national Arts Festival in Grahamstown for the last 3 years running. In 2010, Dekaf won the Golden Ovation Award for the best comedy show at the National Arts Festival. Dekaf will be embarking on a national tour in the autumn of 2011 to venues around South Africa, including The Baxter Theatre Concert Hall in Cape Town and the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.’

Since then he has landed film roles in: Cape of Good Hope, After the Rain, Love in Africa, Zeenon z3, World Unseen and Schweitzer. He was first known for his roles in the popular television programme Khululeka, as well as The Adventures of Sinbad, Double Shift and Interrogation Room. Siv is also instantly recognizable as one of the leads in Mnet’s League Of Glory that ran during the Soccer World Cup in 2010. Siv’s best credit to date must be his scenes with Keifer Sutherland in ‘24’.

Siv’s theatre experience is extensive for his young age with amateur and professional productions including: Sizwe Banzi is Dead, The Island, Sex and the Citi Golf , Star Wors, Off Your Trolley, Butlers and Brandy and most recently Dekaf, which he co-wrote.
