Priddy Ugly “Richardo” Moloi, Angolan rapper,
During his teen years, before his emergence into the music industry, Priddy Ugly was an accomplished sportsman. He attended the Moroko Swallows Academy and later competed for South Africa’s National Athletics youth team.
When he competed in the St. Peter’s National Dance Tournament at 15 years old, his interests in the arts manifested. He won the award for Best Male Dancer. Afterwards he proceeded to join other dance groups and win other awards.
After being diagnosed with a medical condition that ended his sporting career, Priddy Ugly pursued music. He was part of the boy group, Krunk Era, which was later renamed Blaque. H.U.G.E Entertainment by Vusi Leeuw signed the group in 2007.
In 2010 he signed to Aviator Management as a solo artist. Some of his first releases featured on The Take Off, a compilation album by Aviator Management artists, in 2012. In addition, Priddy Ugly featured on Amunishn’s album, The Principal the same year.
Priddy Ugly released “The Ugly Truth” in 2012. The mixtape was his debut as a solo artists, garnering over 30,000 downloads.
Today Priddy Ugly is an independent artist. He has collaborated with artists like AKA, HHP, X-Tatic, and more. In 2016 he became a brand ambassador for Liberado and Diesel. That year also saw the release of his acclaimed album-esque mixtape “You Don’t Know Me Yet”.
