Guy Lundy
In 2001 Guy Lundy gave a speech entitled “I pledge allegiance”, which quickly turned into a viral email, being sent around the world by South Africans wanting a positive perspective on what we have achieved as a nation. The massive response to that speech led Guy to co-author the book “South Africa: Reasons to Believe”. More recently he has co-produced the book “South Africa 2014: The story of our future” with the editors of South Africa the Good News.
Guy is Managing Director of Centric Consulting, a corporate strategy consultancy, and he has previously worked for international firms such as Ernst & Young, Oracle, the London Stock Exchange and Dimension Data. He is an active member of several international organisations, such as Mensa, the World Future Society, the National Speakers Association and Toastmasters International.
Guy was born and raised in Cape Town. He holds Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degrees in Economics from the University of Cape Town, and a Masters degree in Futures Studies from the University of Stellenbosch, which he attained Cum Laude
Guy lived, worked and travelled for several years on four continents before settling back in Cape Town with his French wife, Christine, and their daughter Emeline.
