Kato Mukuru

Kato Mukuru has over 19 years of experience in investment banking with 15 years in research covering markets in Europe, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Most recently, he served as a Partner and Head of Research at Exotix Partners LLP in Dubai, UAE where he covered 20 stocks, managed 18 frontier research analysts spanning from Nigeria to Bangladesh and expanded the company’s coverage universe to include 125 stocks.

In 2016, Exotix was recognized as having the Best Research Team for Africa (Ex-SA) Equities by Financial Mail, and Mukuru received the honor of an individual ranking. Before joining Exotix, he served as Director for Middle East & Africa at Citigroup Global Markets Limited and, prior to that, as Director and Head of African Research at Renaissance Capital Limited in Lagos, Nigeria. Kato Mukuru has also held positions in investment banking at Citigroup in Madrid, London and New York. Kato obtained his BA in business administration from Morehouse College in Georgia, United States.
