Evans Osano

Evans Osano has an extensive experience (over 20 years) in the financial sector, primarily in capital markets. His experience ranges from investments, advisory and technical assistance. Evans’ work experience spans Africa, Middle East & North Africa (MENA), North America, Europe and South Asia, covering about 30 countries.

Evans is Director, Financial Markets with Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Africa where he leads capital markets development initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Africa Local Currency Bond Fund (ALCBF).

Previously he worked as Head, Efficient Securities Markets Institutional Development (ESMID) Africa with the World Bank Group/International Finance Corporation (IFC) and as Vice President, Head of Investments at AIG Global Investment Group.

Evans holds a Doctor in Business Administration degree from the Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
