Bamidele Olalekan Oseni is a seasoned Risk Management Professional on Basel II & III having implemented Enterprise-Wide Risk Management in one of the biggest banks in Nigeria & nine of its subsidiaries, Global Trust Bank in Uganda (now DFCU) and Ecobank South Sudan in East Africa. I have over 18 year’s post-graduation experience in Banking and Audit Practice.

Bamidele Olalekan Oseni is currently General Manager/Group Chief Risk Officer for I & M Banking Group with headquarters Kenya. I am a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Account of Nigeria (FCA), Fellow Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria (FICA). Also, I hold B.Agric from Obafemi Awolowo University (Second Class Upper Division), Masters in Economic from Kampala International University and Doctoral candidate in same University. I have multi-country experiences and understanding of banking markets in 23 Africa Countries span across Western, Central, Eastern and Southern Africa.

I have competencies and experiences in Domestic Banking, Branch Management, Corporate Banking, Banking Operations, Financial Controls & Strategy, Internal Controls, Credit Assessment & Approvals, and Enterprise-wide Risk Management covering Operational Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, Strategic Risk Management, Environmental & Social Risk Management, Risk Based Internal Audit, Reputational Risk, IT and Security Risk, ALCO & Market Risk Management, Tax Management, and AML & Compliance Risk. Prior to now, I was the Chief Credit Officer for 18 Africa Countries. I am an international trainer and speaker on Risk Management at Enterprise Risk Management Africa Conference organized by Terrapins that hold annually at Sandton, South Africa and a certified Risk Manager by KPMG Sweden. I have worked as Independent Consultant to World Bank South Sudan on training and capacity building for South Sudan on Internal Controls, Audit and Financial Management.
