Francis Nyamutsamba

Francis Nyamutsamba is a television reporter/ producer/ presenter at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation. Francis Nyamutsamba did his high School at Churchill Boy’s High School, an institution famed for producing several sports stars including Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira, Tinashe Nengomasha and Hamilton Masakadza just to name a few. 

Upon concluding his A’Level Francis went to the Harare Polytechnic College where he attained a Diploma in Mass Communication. After completing his diploma Francis Nyamutsamba furthered his studies and graduated with a B.A in Media Studies at the Zimbabwe Open University. 

Francis Nyamutsamba also holds an Advanced Sports Management Diploma with the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee as well as a level 2 soccer coaching certificate. 

Francis joined the national broadcaster ZBC in 2007 as an intern before being employed as a production assistant in 2008.  He became a producer in 2009 and was part of the production team that pioneered ZBC TV’s premier breakfast show Good Morning Zimbabwe.  At the end of 2009 he was reassigned and became a Sports reporter, a position he currently holds. As a reporter Francis has had interviews with several high profile sports personalities that include current Fifa president Gianni Infantino, Rivaldo, Patrick Kluivert, Dunga, Kirsty Coventry, Allan Donald, Makhaya Ntini and Peter Ndlovu just to name a few.  In 2018 Francis  Nyamutsamba was voted the electronic media Sports Journalist of the Year by the Sports Journalists Association of Zimbabwe – Northern Region. 

He has produced several documentaries and television shows which include Sports perspectives, and Coca-Cola sponsored programme Copa Coca Cola @30.

Nyamutsamba has also worked as a sports news anchor for morning shows, Good Morning Zimbabwe and Weekend Morning. 

Francis is a presenter for live premier soccer league matches and has done presentations for 2 world cups as well as live cricket matches featuring the Zimbabwe national team.
