Leanne Manas

As an MC or debate facilitator, Leanne’s work has included: the World Economic Investment Forum; the Oracle Venture Network Conference;  the Business Day Website of the Year; Comparex Africa’s Annual International conference; Computer Reseller News’ Annual Re-seller awards; The Business Day Advertiser of the Year; Tyco’s annual conference; Dimension Data’s Annual International Call Center conference; SAB’s Annual Manufacturing conference, annual gala dinner and their annual Human Resources and IT awards ceremony;  the gala dinner launch of General Motors and Delta Motor Corporation in South Africa.

Leanne Manas has been named both ‘Best Female TV Presenter’ (in the People Magazine Awards) and the ‘Best Female Presenter’ and ‘Best Dressed Female Presenter” by the readers of the same publication. She has also been honoured by being appointed an Ambassador of former President Mandela’s ‘46664 campaign.’

Leanne Manas is the co-anchor on SABC2’s flagship breakfast programme ‘Morning Live’. Prior to this she was the host of two Business programmes on SABC 3, ‘Business Update’ and ‘Business Focus’. Leanne was also the National Anchor for the ‘2004 Elections’ and the ‘Presidential Inauguration’.

Having debuted on television as the main news anchor for South Africa’s Business Channel, Summit Television, Leanne’s broadcasting career included spells on Radio Algoa, Jacaranda 94.2 and East Coast Radio and Classic fm, with her debut being on Talk Radio 702.

A qualified Speech and Drama teacher with Honours in English, Leanne Manas developed a keen interest in Finance journalism and completed a postgraduate certificate in Economics Journalism from Rhodes University.
