Walter Leonhardt, I am a seasoned professional in the FMCG beverage industry. Having occupied senior financial and operational management roles in the beer and soft drinks industries,Walter Leonhardt, I’ve gained extensive experience in the beverage sector as a whole. With a strong background in finance and business support, as well an in-depth understanding of the industry, I have brought exceptional skills and insight to my role as Finance Director at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA). This has proven especially valuable in the context of challenging trading conditions in the past few years where I have led several large finance projects to optimise productivity and provide business support, restoring the business’s profitable growth. One of my significant achievements includes the integration of 6 South African operating entities into one, post the CCBSA merger in 2016 and the implementation of one ERP system across the newly-formed R30bn organisation. I am a professional who pays meticulous attention to detail and engages colleagues constructively. I am also passionate about environmental issues, both in CCBSA and in my personal capacity.

At the coveted 2016 CFO awards, I collected 2 awards on behalf of ABI – the Finance Transformation, as well as the Governance & Compliance award, in recognition of the remarkable work and achievements of ABI Finance in these areas.
