Thuli Mthethwa is the Founder & CEO of Memeza Shout, a Social Enterprise that aims to support crime prevention, as she herself was a repeat victim of crime and GBV. Thuli is a software developer turned Social Innovator and Entrepreneur. Over the past 9 years, through Thuli’s leadership, she has led her team and organisation to become a key role player in the niche field of Community Safety through Technology, focusing on Public-Private Partnerships. With many accolades, industry awards and endorsements, Memeza Shout’s innovations have proven to reduce the murder rate by 9%, sexual offences by 26% (Diepsloot) and improve SAPS and CPF service delivery from 45 min to a low 7 minutes. Thuli holds a B.Sc. Honours Information Systems & Computer Science (UNISA) and a B.Sc. Information Systems and Computer Science (Rhodes).
