Tshepo Makelane

Tshepo Makelane is currently a Senior Vice President for Strategic Supplier Partnerships & Project Logistics at Imperial. Additionally, he is executive Chairman of Imperial Managed Solutions in Namibia focusing on providing logistics solutions for key clients in Namibia.

A supply chain professional and practitioner, he has worked in various industries, including FMCG, powerutilities and oil & gas. He has served on various supply chain roundtables, logistics forums, transformation forums, supplier development committees and served as a trustee / board member for ROMPCO (Republic of Mozambique Pipeline Company), SASDC (South African Supplier Diversity Council).

Tshepo is an experienced business leader and board director, and is passionate about the supply chain profession and its positioning as a key value creator for businesses and fostering partnerships with doorstep communities . In particular, Tshepo believes in developing and mentoring the next generation of supply chain leaders, with special emphasis on women and youth led businesses.

Outside of work, Tshepo enjoys philanthropy and being a social partner. He is currently the Chairman of the Makelane Foundation, which focuses on supporting under-served township schools and partners with community-based charitiesto have a lasting impact in the communities.
