Mametja Moshe has over eighteen years finance experience in corporate finance, equities capital markets, debt capital markets, accounting, auditing, corporate tax, strategy and black economic empowerment.

She is the founder and CEO of Moshe Capital (Pty) Ltd – a South African based advisory and investments company. Over the last 8 years Moshe Capital has executed transactions of more than 30 billion mainly in the mining sector. Advising Lomin PLC, Siyanda resources and Exxaro limited.

Prior to starting Moshe Capital, Mametja spent seven years in investment banking and investments, where she worked in the Morgan Stanley investment banking team covering the South African, Zambian and Nigerian Mergers & Acquisitions and equity capital markets; UBS AG covering South African mergers and acquisitions and Identity Capital Partners. Ms. Moshe’s sector focus has mainly been in the mining, financial services, telecommunication, manufacturing, agriculture and transport.

Before her investment-banking career, Mametja spent five years at KPMG Inc. serving her auditing articles in the consumer products team and later joining the corporate tax team where she covered tax compliance, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and Black Economic Empowerment transactions.

Mametja is a mentor and coach for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Programme – which provides 10,000 underserved women entrepreneurs with business skills and mentorship. She sits on the board of Mining, Minerals & Metals PLC (a London Stock Exchange listed company) and Jaycor International Proprietary Limited. Mametja sat on the board of directors of Renaissance Capital’s South African subsidiary – Rencap Securities (Pty) Ltd, Eurodollar Foreign Exchange (Pty) Ltd, Identity Mineral Resources (Pty) Ltd and Southgold Exploration (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Great Basin Gold Limited.

Mametja obtained B. Com Hons (Accounting); and B. Com Hons (Management Accounting) degrees from the University of Kwazulu Natal. She is a qualified chartered accountant and an MBA graduate in the Global Executive Program at Columbia Business School and London Business School.

Mametja was the first black South African to graduate from the Global Executive MBA Program at Columbia Business School and London Business Schools. Ms Moshe was voted as one of 20 of the African Women with Powerful Voices by Applause Africa magazine. She has spoken on global platforms including Columbia Business School, London Business School, Oxford University, World Economic Forum’s Old Mutual She Leads Programme, NewzAfrika CNBC Africa and BBC Live News. In her spare time, Mametja is an avid traveller, yogi and mentor to high school scholars through the MM Career Guidance and Mentorship Foundation.
