Marion Provencher
Gender Analyst IGF
Marion Provencher is an anthropologist by training and works as a gender analyst with the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, metals, and Sustainable Development (IGF). Her work is to ensure that gender dimensions are taken into account in all aspects of mining governance, including the development of gender equality policies, programmes, and frameworks in the mining sector. Prior to joining the IGF, Marion worked at in the security sector on Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. She developed research material, guidance, and policies on victim assistance, prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, and the impact of women’s employment across the 2030 Agenda. She also developed and delivered several training courses, as well as supported the development of a community of gender focal points. Marion speaks English and French and is based in Montreal, Canada.
