Theunis Nel

In 1992, Theunis Nel completed his master’s in engineering in agriculture at the University of Pretoria. He then joined Transvaal Sugar as the manager of the Agriculture Engineering department. In 1995, Theunis moved to Illovo Sugar and became the agricultural engineer of the Umfolozi Co-operative contract. Umfolozi
Co-operative Sugar Planters appointed him as general manager in 1997, and he remained with the group until 2002. Theunis Nel has been with Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions since 2002. In 2013, he was appointed as managing director of the specialised contractual logistics division.
