Antoinette Absaloms
Antoinette Absaloms joined The Coca-Cola Company in September 2011, in the Central East and West Africa Business unit as Operations Counsel for the East and Central Africa markets. Over the years, her areas of responsibility have increased in breadth and scope. She has been a valued legal partner to the business and her strong bias for Integrity and corporate governance has been evident in her support for internal controls and compliance programs, including the company’s Code of Business Conduct and Anti-Bribery Policies and management of tools that simplify processes and automate controls like KOsignIT and GDAT. Antoinette Absaloms took up the position of Business Unit Legal Counsel for the West Africa Business Unit on 1 June 2017
Antoinette is a member of the Kenyan Bar and a Certified Public Secretary (CS) with experience in corporate governance and compliance, intellectual property management, and commercial contracting, labor and competition law.
Prior to joining the company, Antoinette worked with Unilever East and Southern Africa as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for the company’s seven operations in the region, during which time she successfully undertook one of Kenya’s first ever de-listings from the Nairobi Securities Exchange, and managed several corporate divestments, mergers and acquisitions.
She continues to bring her attention to detail and experience to bear in the structure and management of commercial transactions between the company and vendors as well as bottling partners and has been recognized as one of Africa’s Top 100 General Counsel by the publication – Legal 500.
Antoinette enjoys spending time in community service, through Rotary International. She appreciates music, photography, reading, travelling and the outdoors.
