Nkem Akobundu

Nkem Akobundu is the Technical Director for Coca-Cola West Africa Business Unit.
Nkem is the immediate former Technical Manager for Central Indian & Atlantic (Oceans) Franchise.

Nkem Akobundu joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2002 as Region Technical Representative for Nigeria & Equatorial Africa and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility including Supply Chain Improvement Manager – Nigeria & Equatorial Africa; Technical Operations Manager – Nigeria & Equatorial Africa; and Technical Manager – Nigeria Franchise.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Nkem worked for Glaxo Nigeria / Evans Medical Plc from 1995 – 2002; Christlieb Plc as a Production Manager and UAC Nigeria Plc as Chief Chemist for Grand Cereals & Oil Mills Limited.

Nkem is Food Scientist & Technologist and a Six Sigma expert with a strong bias for process improvement & optimization, project management, supply chain strategy and E2E optimization. He is an alumnus of Georgia Tech Supply Chain Academy, and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science & Technology and the Institute of Directors.

Nkem has won several academic awards including for Best Departmental Graduating Student and Best M.Sc. Student as well as workplace recognitions including Innovation Award at Evans Medical and the Coca-Cola Central East & West Africa Business Unit Values Award for Leadership.
