Antony Gitei

Antony Gitei is an enthusiastic young man, born and raised in the hills of Cherangany in Kitale, Kenya. He is currently the Acting CEO of Transforming Young Stars of Africa (TYSA) a sports for development NGO based in Kenya. Antony is driven by a passion for positive youth development and believes that young people are not a problem to be solved but rather a resource to be utilized for development. He has a wide experience working with young people and developing structures and programs that focus on building young leaders for transformation. Since 2016 Antony has been sitting at the Streetfootballworld Global Youth Council representing Africa. Gitei participated in UEFA EURO Festival 16, Lyon France that focused on celebrating the power of sports in the world. He has also organized and participated in different Youth leadership forums in East Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. In 2017 he participated in Strategic plan development for the Streetfootballworld East Africa Network in Addis Abba Ethiopia. In June 2018 Antony was invited to the FIFA Foundation Festival in Russia as a young leader’s coordinator from Africa. He is committed to continuous learning through building Networks and friendships.
