Siyabonga Nomvethe

Siyabonga Nomvethe

Nomvethe will turn 40 at the end of 2016 with the forward still turning out match-winning performances in his hometown.

Having come through the ranks at African Wanderers, Nomvethe would make a name for himself at Kaizer Chiefs before jetting off to Europe where he would play top-flight football in Italy, Sweden and Denmark following a short spell at Orlando Pirates sandwiched in-between.

Following seven years at Moroka Swallows – where he witnessed the decline of the famous Dube Birds – Nomvethe joined AmaZulu.

The evergreen forward is still hitting the back of the net for Usuthu and returns to the Absa Premiership with the same desire as the young-faced forward who broke onto the scene two decades ago.
