Mike Monaghan

Mike Monaghan is a registered member of the South African Institute of Professional Accounts (SAIPA) and holds a B Com Honours degree in Accounting from UNISA, while he completed his undergraduate degree at the former UPE.

He completed his articles as a trainee accountant with an auditing firm, Charteris & Barnes, subsequently remaining in practice for a short period before accepting the position of financial manager of the Port Elizabeth Branch of Freshmark (Pty) Ltd, which is part of the Shoprite Group.

He began his career in Higher Education with the former PE Technikon in 2000, being appointed Director : Management Accounting  of the newly formed NMMU after the successful merger of the former PET and UPE, incorporating the PE campus of Vista University.
