My passion is two-fold: helping organisations realise the benefits of the technologies and processes available to them, and helping team members and managers reach their potential. I have experience in increasing productivity, streamlining processes, and encouraging staff wellbeing and engagement within various multi-national environments. I have a proven track record of achieving results for multiple software companies across numerous industries, such as hospitality, legal, and financial – with a specialisation in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
My experience and roles have ranged from beginnings in a call-centre through to managing global teams in both software support and software content development. I have gained direct experience in desktop support, networking, infrastructure planning, software development, software support, and strategic management. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge of these subjects, and do so as a part time facilitator for BCom students in the ‘ICT Management’ and ‘Management of Technology’ fields, as well as by speaking at various industry events and conferences. Due to my experience in the industry, I have also had the privilege of serving as an adjudicator for the Da Vinci Technology Top 100 (TT100) awards.
I have contributed to numerous committees, such as Information Security and Privacy (InfoSec), Employment Equity, and Product Advisory Boards. Within a volunteer or consulting capacity, I have experience serving on committees such as Public Relations, Marketing, and Technology Advisory. I have recently completed my master’s degree in the Management of Technology and Innovation, and am a certified MSP Practitioner (Managing Successful Programmes) . I am a relentless networker, and always give my all in finding the best possible solution to any challenge posed.
