Abel Bogatsu

Abel Bogatsu is the General Manager of Finance at Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited where his role is to provide professional finance inputs to the creation and maintenance of a BTC business strategy that will deliver shareholder value. He will also be responsible for the operation and management of all financial systems and processes while ensuring financial regulatory compliance.

Further to this, Abel will provide management and the Board of Director’s with relevant financial data necessary for timely decision making. Abel is in charge of justifying the BTC financial strategy to all key investors and stakeholders, demonstrating that the approach actively contributes to the achievement of business goals and the full integration of quality management processes within the finance structure and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.

Abel Bogatsu possesses a bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting from the University of Botswana and is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Botswana Institute of Accountants. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the Financial sector having previously worked at the University of Botswana, Botswana Housing Corporation and currently Botswana Telecommunications Corporation. Abel has been the Board Chairperson of the Botswana Medical Aid Society since June 2008.
