Abigail Ama Sekyibea Larbi

Abigail Larbi has over ten years of experience in media practice, specifically mainstream journalism, development communication, media development, and project management. Currently, she is the program manager for media development and good governance at the Media Foundation for West Africa, where she focuses on initiating, designing, and managing interventions aimed at strengthening the capacity of the media in West Africa to become effective enablers of participatory, transparent, and accountable governance in the region. Abigail Ama Sekyibea Larbi holds a master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana, where she focused on public relations, research, and advertising. She is driven by her commitment to ensuring a professional and viable media and envisions a society where citizens are free to express themselves, have access to information, and actively participate in their governance process. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Abigail plans to continue her work in media development and expand her career coaching and mentoring clinics for students, which develop youth as result-oriented agents for change.
