Abram Olehile Marumo Tlaletsi
Mr Abram Tlaletsi was appointed acting Director-General in July 2010. He holds a BCom degree in Strategic Management and Industrial Psychology, a BCom (Hons), and a Master of Commerce from North West University.Mr Tlaletsi started a banking career in the 1980s at First National Bank Mafikeng branch, working as an enquiry clerk, bank teller and senior check clerk.
He then joined the North West Development Corporation in 1989 as a trainee business counsellor. Seven years later he moved back into banking and was appointed Absa’s first black general manager in the North West Province. Mr Tlaletsi joined the Department of Economic Development and Tourism during March 2003 as chief director for economic planning, research, monitoring and evaluation. He acted as the Head of Department from 2006 to 2007 and was appointed as head of the Department the following year.
Mr Tlaletsi has served on a number of business committees, including the North West Provincial Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprises Strategy Advisory Council and the Local Business Service Centres Accreditation Committee.
