Adeolu Oluseyi Arikawe
Arikawe Adeolu Oluseyi has over eight years’ experience in medical practice at various levels of healthcare delivery in Nigeria. He is currently a Medical Officer with the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. Spurred by his desire for improved health indices of his home country, he joined Doctor On Call Health Support Initiative (NOVADOC), which advocates for a robust deployment of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in tackling health challenges, particularly maternal and infant mortality, through activities ranging from telemedicine, mobile medical missions, to capacity building for healthcare professionals in under-served communities. Adeolu Oluseyi Arikawe is a member of the National Executive Council of Association of Resident Doctors, a pressure group that engages the government on the need for improvement in the health sector to guarantee access to quality health care for all.Adeolu holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from University of Ilorin. He is convinced that the Fellowship, upon his return, will bolster his career pursuit in public health and strengthening of health systems in Nigeria.
