Adulai Bary

Adulai Bary is a 26-year-old graduate in Computer Science applied to Business Management. He has over four years’ experience in computer engineering and telecommunications with the Sonatel Group (Orange-Bissau), where he is head of department in charge of business intelligence and insurance income. Bary speaks Portuguese, French, English, Creole (Bissau), and Fula. Bary is passionate by social entrepreneurship. In 2014 he founded a startup providing agricultural and IT services named BIGTechnologies Sarl. He is inspired by UN-Resolution 56/183, which relates to the danger of creating a two-tier society that rejects of the new culture of information and tools. Adulai Bary works every day towards ‘digital for all’, and founded InnovaLab, the first FabLab in his country. It is a collaborative physical and virtual space supporting social entrepreneurship and technological innovation with mentoring, activities presented online and on radio, OpenLabs, forums, and boot camps. His slogan is: ‘We move Africa with innovation.’
