Afua Serwah Akoto Prempeh

Afua Serwah Akoto Prempeh is an environmentalist who has worked in the field of environmental management and rural development for over three years. She currently serves as a Program Officer at the Western Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Ghana. As part of her work, she strives to build a structured and close collaboration between state institutions and local communities to ensure national sustainable growth. Afua Serwah Akoto Prempeh is a Commonwealth Scholar who holds a certificate in Policies, Strategies and Support Systems for Rural Revitalization from the Weitz Centre for Development Studies in Israel, a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Gloucestershire. Upon completing the Washington Fellowship, she plans to start an environmental movement which will focus on encouraging people to adopt green lifestyle choices and to share lessons learned and apply them in her work as a public officer.
