Alemayehu Begna Hordofa
Alemayehu Begna Hordofa has over four years of experience in the legal profession. Currently, Alemayehu is serving his country as a federal public prosecutor in Ethiopia’s Attorney General Office. In this capacity, Alemayehu supervises and directs criminal investigation work, institutes criminal case charges representing the federal government of Ethiopia, litigates criminal matters entertained by federal courts, ensures the legality of criminal investigation, and reviews police investigation files. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and is pursuing his Master of Laws at the Addis Ababa University, specializing in Business Law. Alemayehu Begna Hordofa is committed to creating a disciplined and professional law enforcement body in Ethiopia. He aspires to see a fair and effective criminal justice system that is completely liberated from corruption and other professional malpractices. Upon completion of Mandela Washington Fellowship, Alemayehu plans to continue his law service, improving the criminal justice system in his country through legal research and professional engagement in criminal investigation and prosecution.
