Alemfrie Derese Chekole

Alemfrie Chekole has over 10 years of experience in teaching and research and rendering community services in Bahir Dar University. She earned a degree in Management from Bahir Dar University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Mekele University,Ethiopia. She has worked as a manager, gender office coordinator and entrepreneurship project leader where she acquired basic managerial skills such as leadership, communication, working with people and stress management. Currently, she is a lecturer and Director of Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation Center at Bahir Dar University. Alemfrie Derese Chekole inspires youth, mentors incubators, conducts research to solve entrepreneurs’ problems and provides training that can facilitate the growth of startup and seasoned companies. She is a National Master Entrepreneurship Trainer and Business Development Advisor in UNCTAD’s business model. Alemfrie sees becoming a lecturer, trainer, and director of entrepreneurial initiatives as a great opportunity to guide young people in their choice of future career. Upon completion of Mandela Washington fellowship, Alemfrie is committed to continuing taking part in developing an entrepreneurship ecosystem in her country.
