Bio
I am Alistair and lead our cognitive and intelligent automation practice and help clients introduce efficiency and performance improvement in their businesses.
I have led finance functions in both the private and public sectors, at a senior level over the past 20 years. During this time I have steered multiple engagements, ranging from designing and implementing new group reporting systems and processes to designing multi-country system solutions and methodologies.
My focus area for the past 7 years has been on the Financial Services industry, around integration of finance, actuarial and risk technologies, processes and data and has worked with FS clients in South Africa, Africa, UK, Continental Europe, the United States and Latin America.
I currently devote the majority of my time growing the PwC Advisory business to provide FS clients with support across their change initiatives. That work includes:
- Leading Regulatory reporting projects – assessing the impacts on companies of the significant changes to disclosure which are resulting from regulation.
- Providing expert input, advice and support to the working parties and Project Boards of insurance companies and banks across all areas of reporting programmes.
- Providing SME input into regulatory and management information advisory and remediation projects across the FS sector.
Disruptive innovation, competitive strategy and digital finance form part of how he helps create ecosystems that solve complex problems.
One of the initiatives that I am driving, is that of Intelligent Automation, encompassing Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence.
