Alueshima Bridget Utsaha

Alu, a physician since 2010, has distinguished herself in the areas of HIV/AIDS and child survival, working in urban and rural health facilities in North Central Nigeria. She is currently the deputy Reproductive Health Coordinator in the Benue State Ministry of Health, and is involved in the implementation of health programs centered on integrated management of neonatal and childhood illnesses and safe motherhood. Alu is the secretary of the state technical team on malaria in pregnancy, and is a community medical volunteer. She is fluent in English, French, Tiv and Hausa. She serves at various levels as a musical director, graduated with M.B.B.S from the University of Maiduguri, and holds a certificate in Public Health Management from the West African Health Organization, Burkina Faso. After her Fellowship, she will advocate for policies on child survival and primary health care strengthening, while sharing her skills with colleagues and students.
