Amina Issa Ado

Amina Issa Ado Ado is the founder of Fortitude Agence, a social enterprise that transforms and recycles waste into household furnishings and decor. Previously, Fortitude offered organic meals at events and conferences. In seeing all of the waste produced from these events, Amina thought to address this problem by recycling the waste into attractive home decor items. Amina Issa Ado believes that Fortitude will help protect the environment by reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Since middle school, Amina has been an activist and community organizer. She has also been involved in Niger’s scouting organization(Africa), which inspired her to place youth issues and the environment at the core of her social enterprise. Fortitude engages youth and creates youth employment opportunities. Today, Fortitude offers two services: organic food catering for events and waste recycling.
