Aminata Traore
Aminata Traore has over four years of experience in the community development sector, specifically focusing on gender equality and women’s and girls’ right. Currently, Aminata is a program manager for Groupe Pivot/Droits et Citoyenneté des Femmes, an NGO, where she focuses on implementing the country’s strategic advocacy plan for family planning and teenage sexual health and reproductive rights. Aminata Traore holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the African Institute of Management. She is the national coordinator of the Network for the Emergence of Young Women in Mali, where she works to prevent discrimination against women and violation of their rights on social media. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Aminata plans to engage youth in promoting gender equality and fighting against gender-based violence.
