Andrew Longwe

Andy is co-founder and current chief executive officer of Capital Financial Services, a youth microfinance program in Malawi. He has over five years’ experience in social entrepreneurship and is an accomplished entrepreneur, business trainer, business coach, and mentor. Andrew is a holder of the commonwealth youth silver award, a community service champion award. He also holds a World Bank development marketplace award in social innovation. He is a former board member of the National Youth Council of Malawi and has trained over 500 young people in starting and improving a business, providing them with over $40,000 in loans, and creating over 500 youth jobs. Returning from the fellowship, Andrew plans to establish a youth entrepreneurship bank to champion youth job creation in Malawi. Andrew provides free entrepreneurship training and mentorship to over 1000 young people.
