ANDREW WHITTAKER

Andrew Whittaker – As practice lead at Ubusha Technologies, Andrew is responsible for researching industry trends and integrating new concepts into the Ubusha “Protection of Access to Information” solution delivery model, including educating customers of these industry trends and assisting them to make strategic planning decisions for their ICT investments.

A key part of that role has been to create a liaison between the business drivers as set out by the various organisational stakeholders and executives and to interpret these into information security initiatives, and to drive these changes into the organisation. Part of this has also been to understand relevant legislation in South Africa (King, POPI, SOX, PCI-DSS) and their implications on information security initiatives.

In this role he regularly works with Architecture, Information Security, Risk Management, Audit and Information Technology departments of some of the largest SA organisations
