Anna Jaiteh
Anna Jaiteh is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of The Gambia with over seven years’ experience as a human rights activist. Before embarking on her legal studies, Anna Jaiteh was an accountant and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. Anna’s passion for human rights led her to volunteer with organizations such as the Female Lawyers Association Gambia and Think Young Women. She is a co-founder of Impact Youth Africa, an organization aiming to economically empower youth in The Gambia through mentorship and skills training. She is also a partner of Yummy, a business venture using organic agriculture produce from Ghana and The Gambia to create food to be sold in these two countries. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she intends to expand her business by creating employment opportunities for the youth in The Gambia and the sub-region.
