Annabel Linder

Multi award winning actress, comedienne and singer Annabel Linder, has distinguished her self in all Spheres of the Entertainment Media. She was nominated 10 times for awards given for excellence in Theatre, TV and Radio, Annabel Linder won five of them. • A Dalro award for theatre which she received for “Torch, Song Trilogy”. • A second Dalro award musical theatre for “Chicago”. • A Tonight Award for “Heroes” which was screened on television. • The Naledi Award for “The tale of the Allergists wife” a stage production. • The Vita award was for “Rose”. She is one of the only female singer – comediennes on the cabaret circuit, with an hour long performance for corporate and special events. Annabel Linder is also one of the busiest voice artists doing voice over’s for Radio and Television. During the past ten years, she has appeared in many stage productions, feature films and television and since 1998 has hosted her own music and talk show on Radio Today – 1485 AM. In 2000 she appeared in 6 episodes of the popular Soap “Isidingo” (South African Soap). In 2001 she appeared in the most demanding role of her career, playing the part of Rose, an 80 year old survivor of the Holocaust. It was a two hour tour de force performance and a box office triumph, with mass acclaim from the critics. Dali Thambo did a tribute to her in his one hour program on national television, “People of the South.” She subsequently won the Vita award for Best dramatic actor for her role as Rose. She performed in Pieter Torien`s “From Door to Door, for which was nominated for the Naledi award. Her Most recent accomplishments have been Cameo roles in an International film, “Flashbacks of a fool” starring the new James Bond, Daniel Craig and she just completed roles in Erfsonders and an episode of coconuts on MNet. Her talk which is directed at woman’s groups is full of inspiration based on her own personal experience and is hailed by audiences everywhere.
