Anne Ruth Wanjiru Mwangi

Anne Ruth Wanjiru Mwangi, Since 2004, Ruth Mwangi has worked to design, test and coordinate numerous projects within informal settlements in Kenya. She is on the board of directors at Grassroots Economics, where she leads the foundation in programming, strategy, and operations. Grassroots Economics is the industry leader implementing community/complementary currencies in Africa. Ruth’s skills and expertise have been sought by organizations such as Bridge International Academies and Garden of Hope Foundation, where she is on the board of directors. Ruth has had the opportunity to lead, train, and direct numerous groups, conferences, and events, including those that have been recognized by global organizations such as Echoing Green and One Young World, where she has twice been selected to represent Kenya. Anne Ruth Wanjiru Mwangi is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management at the University of Sunderland. Ruth’s vision is to overcome poverty and the flaws of the economic crisis in our society.
