Arlette Kahite Nyembo
Arlette Kahite Nyembo is a jurist and has been an independent consultant for nearly six years, focusing on the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Africa)(DRC)’s national development. For the past two years, she has been the country coordinator for the Decision Support Unit, a United Kingdom Department for International Development project. The project guides decision-making for the United Kingdom’s portfolio of private sector development projects in the DRC. Arlette Kahite Nyembo has experience in logistics, research, review, evaluation, recruitment, translation, business development, and direct project implementation in the international development and private sectors. She has worked with actors in government, NGOs, civil society organizations, and the private sector, as well as with donors. Her project areas include governance, financial management, education, health, agriculture, trade, insurance, logistics, and private sector development. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she will continue to support initiatives that promote progress and change for her country, focusing governance and entrepreneurship.
