Asogan Moodley
Asogan Moodley is the chief financial officer for the Department of International Relations and Co-operation, a position he has held since September 2007. He holds CIA, CCSA, CGAP, CBM, BCom (Hons) qualifications together with a national diploma in government finance and a post-graduate certificate in forensic auditing and Criminal Justice.
For the past three financial years the Department has received unqualified audit reports. Ambassador Moodley has more than 25 years’ experience in the finance, auditing, accounting and business management environments. He has worked in the retail and professional services sectors, and in government.
His public sector experience includes working for the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury, and the Department of Education. Among the highlights of his achievements are the implementation of the basic financial systems manual for schools and the introduction of school financial instructions.
