Aude Roméo Basné-Wendé Tapsoba has two years of experience in the agro-food sector, especially in food production, processing, and quality assurance. Recently, she was the quality assurance manager at Société d’Exploitation des Produits Alimentaires-SODEPAL S.A., where she was in charge of the hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plan, the safety, nutritive, and sensorial quality of infant weaning foods produced in Burkina Faso. Aude Roméo Basné-Wendé Tapsoba also volunteers at Œuvre Laïc Catholique, to help rural women and youth alleviate food-processing related issues. She holds a master’s degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, where she worked on improving tiger-nut milk for lactose intolerants, vegetarians and for other food-based uses. After the Mandela Washington Fellowship program, Aude plans on establishing a food-processing company to diminish post-harvest losses, food wastage, and processed-food importation back home.
