Bakang Micha Palai

Bakang Palai has over seven years’ experience in Real Estate Developments and Investments (retail, offices, student accommodation, and hotels). Currently, Bakang is the head of property developments at Khumo PAM, a subsidiary of Eris Property Group (SA) and BIFM (BW) where he focuses on projects’ feasibility and viability, securing finance for real estate deals, orchestrating the process of developments from the beginning to end, and determining investments exit strategy. He graduated from UCT in 2007 with a Bsc in Property Studies and is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Property Developments and Building, University of Witwatersrand. He is the co-founder of Botswana Green Building Council, vice chairman of the UCT Alumni, and currently serving as an independent grading accessor for Botswana Tourism Organization. Upon completion of the Fellowship, Bakang plans to continue his work in property developments, encouraging public private partnerships, and sustainable buildings to combat climate change.
